About Summit Wings Aviation
A selective Colorado contract pilot, aircraft management, and pilot training firm led by Adam Lendi.

Adam Lendi, Owner and Pilot
Adam Lendi founded Summit Wings Aviation and serves as its owner and lead instructor. Based on Colorado’s Front Range, he provides contract pilot services, select aircraft management, and specialized pilot training. His work today combines professional flying, flight operations, and active flight instruction, and each one strengthens the others.
Current Professional Flying
Adam flies as pilot-in-command in a two-pilot Part 135 charter crew, currently in the Pilatus PC-12 NG. He plans, briefs, and flies on-demand IFR missions through the Rocky Mountains with full CRM, SOP, and risk-assessment discipline.
Operations and Safety Leadership
As Director of Business Operations and Safety Manager for a Part 135 operator, Adam helped build the operation from the ground up:
- Part 135 compliance documentation
- Aircraft and avionics conformity
- Coordination with the FSDO and other affected parties
- Developing and implementing the Safety Management System, including safety processes, reporting culture, and operational risk tools
Instruction and Standardization
- Assistant Chief Pilot at a flight school. Supports standardization, instructor development, and operations.
- Owner and Lead Flight Instructor, Summit Wings Aviation. Independent instruction, endorsements, and proficiency training.
- Training built on CRM, judgment-based decision-making, and operating in complex airspace.
Single-Pilot Survey Operations
Adam flew as pilot-in-command on nationwide, single-pilot aerial survey missions in the Cessna 182 and Piper PA-27 Aztec. That meant both single- and multi-engine operations, sensitive data-collection missions, and long cross-country flying far from home base.
Credentials
- FAA Commercial Pilot: Airplane Single-Engine Land, Multi-Engine Land, Instrument
- PC-12 NG initial training, FlightSafety
- Gold Seal Flight Instructor: CFI, CFII, MEI
- Advanced Ground Instructor (AGI)
- FAA First Class Medical
- U.S. passport, available for travel
What Adam Brings From Outside the Cockpit
Adam’s work before aviation shapes how he serves owners and operators today.
Service and Integrity
Adam went into law enforcement because he wanted to serve and to stand up for what is right. He brings the same conviction to aircraft management. Owners are too often neglected or kept in the dark about their own aircraft. Adam believes in doing what is right by the owner and being fully transparent with them.
An Owner’s Perspective
As the owner of a hospitality business, Adam had to balance client service with fiscal responsibility to his investors. He has run businesses and knows the pressures many owners feel. That’s why he treats safe operations and sensible budget control as goals that have to work together, not compete. Earlier work coaching business owners and building long-term client relationships reinforced the same lesson: listen first, then deliver.
First Impressions Matter
Hospitality is the business of first impressions, and so is flying people. The pilot is often the single biggest factor in whether a client chooses to fly with an operator again. Adam brings that hospitality mindset to every trip, along with the professionalism passengers and owners expect.
